 Introduction

 I am a nurse and have been for nearly 40 years. I found I had a gift as a Spiritual Medium later in life to most others. I        wasn't sure if I had a gift until I met my teacher and mentor Simon Goodfellow. Thanks to him and my guides I can now    help people in a different way to nursing but just as rewarding.

 When I was 6 years old, almost 7, I had a fall that would bring me to my path in life. I fell on a sharp stone which caused  me to rupture my spleen. I found out years later I was really quite ill and could have died, but I was operated on, what was  left of my spleen removed. 

 It took me along time to recover, around 2 months, and it was at this time I decided I wanted to be a nurse, so I worked  towards that goal when at school to get the qualifications needed. I qualified in 1979. I have worked in different areas of  nursing since then, and I still do.

 Did I believe in life after death?

 To be honest I don't really know, as a nurse I  saw a lot of death, but I didn't think about the people who had died, it was  the people who were left behind that I felt for. I was often crying as hard as they were, not very professional for a nurse,  some would say. But I couldn't help it, as I have grown older the more it has felt that I am feeling their grief, almost as if it  were my own. Empathy you may say.

 Then my father in law passed on, I say this rather than died, as I now do believe that our spirit/soul does pass on. As we  returned back to his home with my mother-in-law after the funeral, my son who was 5 years old at the time was first into  the house, and he told us as we got there he had "just seen grandad standing at the door to the kitchen". I truly believe he  did.

 Then when my mother passed on, my father missed her so much he wanted to see a medium, so we went along to one and  I was amazed at the information she gave us both. So accurate.

 I also could feel her around me, as if she was just standing beside me at times, and she was very mischievous, hiding  things all the time.

 This was when I really started to believe and wanted to know more.

 How I came to Mediumship

 When my first marriage started breaking down, it was obviously a very stressful time in my life,  and from reading  magazines, books etc on mind, body and spirit matters, I knew I should be asking God, his Angels and the Universe to help  me get through this difficult time. It was at his time when I was calm and peaceful, meditating, I started getting really  strong tingling and heat in my hands. I felt instinctively that it may be something to do with a healing ability. I was told by  someone at a Mind, Body and Spirit fair that I should be healing. I thought " I'm a nurse. I already heal".

 But this was a different way of healing, as I found out when I found a small development group, this happened by chance  when the lady who was my first teacher was visiting my Chiropractor, the same day I was there.  I joined a small group of  people who had similar interests in the spiritual side of life and alternative medicine. Here I found I did have a gift for  healing, I also had some small success with mediumship. I could not do tarot readings at that time. Then we lost our  teacher, her life path was different to ours. The group broke up.

 This left me a little in limbo, until I had a reading with Spiritual Medium, Simon Goodfellow.

 This again was fate stepping in, for I went to a Mind. Body and Spirit Fair in Nottingham just on the spur of the moment,  Simon was there, and usually he is completely booked up for the fairs. I wanted to have a reading with someone that day  and went to several tables, but kept coming back to Simon's table. He had a space available for me to have a reading, so I  sat down. He amazed me by answereing all the questions I had in my head before he ever looked at the tarot cards I had  chosen. But he told me on this day that I should be doing the same work he does. I told him about the group I had  attended and that I was looking for guidance. He told me about his development workshops.

 I booked onto the first in 2014 and completed all 3 by early 2015. I started out thinking I did not have a gift as a medium  but I was wrong. I was amazed at the messages I got , and my connection with my guides. Then Simon encouraged me to  have a table at the Student fair he organises. I surprised myself at how easy the messages were given by my spirit guides  on that day, it gave me confidence to continue in this amazing work.

 The Future.

 I am still nursing, but my guides want me work with them full time, so that is my new goal, to give readings to those who  want them, to help them move on after the loss of a loved one, to give hope in times of stress, to give them the messages  they need to have a happy and healthy life.

 Also I have my tingling, hot hands that give non touch healing.

 I will continue to develop my gift, and my teacher and mentor Simon has asked me to do platform work with him in June.
